If I had to do it over, I would have spent all of my time in Sydney in Kings Cross. It's an amazing part of town... don't believe what you hear about it. KC reminds me of DC. It is very lovely during the day with it's parks, farmers markets and trendy boutiques & homes. At night... well, let's just say that I saw several spots where people had way too much to drink last night and got sick on the streets. I also saw a guy who looked like his foot was split in half (crazy). I understand why it gets so wild at night, you only have to be 18 to drink in bars here. I think the US is pretty smart with the 21yr old drinking age. But all in all, Sydney, Australia is great. I can't wait to see what Melbourne is like at the end of my trip.
Kayaking trips are already booked for New Zealand... I'm very excited about it. I do have to wait a full week to go though. 5.5 hours of Kayaking in Milford Sound! Not sure what my plans are for Christchurch... I'm sure I'll figure it out tomorrow. I just hear that it's beautiful, plus I like the name of the town.
Another thing about Australia... it reminds me of the USA 10 years ago... kind of funny. USA = Trendsetter! I still love the good ole US of A!
